Compton A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre

Dr. Dre has announced he’s finally got a new album coming out, it’s not Detox though.

Compton: The Soundtrack, inspired by his work on Straight Outta Compton, the upcoming N.W.A. biopic. The album is out August 7, exclusively on iTunes’ Apple Music. It features the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Jill Scott plus more. See tracklist below.

Dre has announced he’s ditched Detox and here’s why;
“I didn’t like it. It wasn’t good. The record, it just wasn’t good. … I worked my ass off on it, and I don’t think I did a good enough job.”

Snoop Lion?

Snoop has embraced the religion of rastafarianism on a recent trip to Jamaica. He visited a temple where a High Priest asked him what his name was. He looked Snoop in the eyes and said, ‘No more. You are the light — you are the lion’.”

“VICE Films, in partnership with Snoopadelic Films, presents REINCARNATED. The documentary follows Snoop Dogg as he journeys to Jamaica to record an album with Diplo. While there, Snoop finds himself embraced by the Jamaican people, is positively impacted by Rastafarian culture, and becomes reincarnated as Snoop Lion.”
