We caught up with a couple of friends (Jess & Terissa), who were helping out at Skalitzers Contemporary Art for the first solo show in Berlin by internationally acclaimed Belgian artist ROA.
“ROA is famous for his large-scale depictions of animals on city walls around the world, ROA brings the creatures which inhabit the fringes of human society back to the metropolis to expose the natural beauty in the cycle of life and death.”
ROA is a brilliant street artist from Ghent, Belgium and is renowned for his giant black and white animal pieces around the city streets and buildings of the world. Today, Roa’s artwork is seen from New York to Berlin and Warsaw to Paris. His style is well suited to the semi derilict buildings and structures you can see his ‘bigger than life’ work on and I’m really impressed with him pushing the envelope in the street art scene.
The night before we hit up my mates Restaurant / Bar Maria Peligro in Kreuzberg for a double denim party. Was a great evening and ended up in McDonalds drinking beers and eating cheeseburgers in the wee hours of the morning.
